Clarisonic Pro System

Last year, around April or May, I saw this cute brush tool that can be used for your skin care regimen. The moment I saw this, I got hooked and kept on watching videos from Tiffany, Michelle Phan, Elle and Blair Fowler, glamorrazi, and so on. I fell in love. But the price is very very steep! The small (mia) clarisonic costs around 7k-10k and even I do not expect myself buying that because I am just a student and do not have savings, and number 2, I can use that money to something else. But last December, I still had my online shop and it was very very successful that I was able to buy 1. and not just a mia. but a Clarisonic Pro complete system. I gave myself an excuse to buy this as a gift for me and my 2 sisters and my mom (i think that's worth it). if you'll look at my previous posts, I got this at a very low price. Until now (10 months), I have been using this brush, and I can say it is very very WORTH IT!

I was able to document this product last January. I keep on excusing myself to procastinate everything. lol.

the company in the USA was also a distributor of dermalogica. the company was very clever to label the box as a beauty sample. though I forgot to tell them to do that, they still did it. I picked the package at the post office and it only cost me 40 php for the fee and tax. NOIICEE!

I was not able to take a photo of the box inside and how it was arranged. Nonetheless,  it includes 6 brushes actually. 2 brushes for the body, 1 normal head brush, 2 sensitive and 1 super sensitive. i also received a sample of dermalogica as freebies

the brush tool. the 4 dots give signal whether how high or low is your battery charge. if there are lights in the 4 dots, it means the brush is ON and so on. 

the tool without the brush. the lower button is for on/off. and the upper one is for  the level mode. 1 click is for the low vibration, 2nd-it gets more shaky (more vibration) and it can go until 4th level. the 5 is for the body polishing.

Until now, my sisters and I are using this and I can say that this is worth the money since I can use this for a long time. It has 1 year warranty, and the battery lasts long. let's say for 2 weeks if the 3 of us will use it once a day. and more than 1 month if I will be the only one to use it. If you would like to have one, I suggest you buy the clarisonic Mia. It has the same purpose with little specs. and you don't really need the to use the higher mode for cleansing for it is too harsh to use on your face. the body polishing is good, but you can live without it. and lastly, I suggest you use this once or twice a week since the brush is too harsh or maybe I am putting so much pressure on my hands when I use it on my face. it's really up to you. =p

By the way, any cleanser can be used with the brush EXCEPT those with scrubs. I guess you don't need that anymore. 

I am not good in reviewing a product. But I hope, you learn something from this. I want this to be casual and very brief.

I did not fit the skirt and hurriedly bought Kotex Napkin and went to the restroom. :)) so uugggh. okay. information overload. :p

Clarisonic Brush, is it really worth your money?
I got this brush from US and I had it shipped last January. It took me 1 month to get this. But I am not complaining since I claimed this in Manila Postal office for only 40-50php tax! CHEAP right? :))

PLUS. I bought this for only 12000php (shipping fee included) via paypal because of their Christmas Bonus Sale. :) Considering that it consists of 5 AMAZING BRUSHESSSS! and the sample facial/body wash!., So I was really really happy with my purchase, but will my sister get one in the future? Did they like it?

But I was stranded awhile ago. I was in MOA waiting for B to finish his hockey training. Being the supportive gf, I always go there since DLSU is minutes away from MOA. :) ., Bringin a bottle of gatorade all the time. TIPID REMINDER: If you want to buy a 1L of gatorade, instead of buying one in supermarket which costs 60-70 php, go to 7/11 and bring you empty 1 liter bottle and use that instead of their 32oz GULP DRINKS. :D THEY SERVE BLUE BOLT GATORADE! :D!!! It only costs 32.00 PHP!!! 1 liter for 32 pesos. NOT BAD! HAHA. They will gladly allow you because you are also helping them by not using their cup as I was told by the lady that their cups are expensive. Just ask them. Try it. :D 

anyway. I am here just to update you and let myself be inspired with writings! HAHA. I want to do an everyday post, but I really find it so stressful because of too much details. Yes, I am that lazy, and it kinda makes me sad. =p ., But I will still try my best. Hihi. 

My skin is getting weird nowadays. The Clinique 3 step system just stopped working on me and I don't know why! :( ., I have another set of these, and I am planning to sell it) , It has been a month and a half, and I was frustrated, not knowing what to do. When 1 product works on me, it's either my right cheek will clear up and my left cheek will be the one to form bumps, and vice versa. Has anyone of you experienced that?

 My default soap is Cetaphil bar after trying a product which did not work for me in the end. This product is not that good, but it kinda calms the condition. So for me, that's sort of a plus for me. But after a few days, Wednesday to be exact. When I started to use Cyleina Black Pearl Soap by accident (I just grabbed it at the dep't store with a little hope that it will make a difference), and I SWEAR TO GOD, it cleared up my skin!) ., My right and left cheeks are now working together! SOOO HAPPPYYY!! :) I am also using it for my body to whiten my skin as my skin tends to recover very slowly everytime I get tanned/sunburned from diff activities. My skin looks like  snow white's skin (NC20 or whiter than that) when I was a kid and now, uhhhh nevermind . =p I am NC30 now. 

One thing that I am GETTING CRRAAZZYYY ABOUT IS... LOL

I was not fascinated with BB creams before (Oct 2010) because I didn't like the Purederm BB cream, so I thought everything else will work just like that. But, after accidentally reading, and watching it this month, I got hooked! For 1 whole week, all I did was to look for the right product for me! :)) ., SO right now, I am using the BRTC 5sample sachets from http://wehaveit43.multiply.com and I am loving the Perfect Recover BB cream among the rest of the samples. Although I find it not that great in oil-control. I like it because of the coverage it gives and how even my skin is after using this. It also kinda matches my skin color! Hurraayyyyy! (I have read that this is too light for most NC30). My cousin also gave me a Collagen BB Cream By WATSONS in China. Yes! Watsons has one, but in China. I am not sure it it is good because it's a little mismatch with my skin color cause of the graying tone it has. Might as well try it again or else, will be put in blogsale. 

I am now trying to buy more BB creams. Right now, I am planning to buy a full bottle of Skin Food Aloe Vera BB cream, BRTC perfect recover BB cream, Etude House (not yet sure which one), and I am also choosing between skin79 or Missha.

Tomorrow, I am going to review my Clarisonic Pro Brush.! :D Stay tune :)

I do not like the lip tint! X( ., I am really not a fan of lip tints!! I prefer NYX lipsticks than this! I will sell this one. The Tea tree oil, I actually got this awhile ago since I heard that this is really THAT GOOD. I was convinced and bought 2pcs because of the sale. =p ., I still have 1 huge zit on my lower left jawline because of the make-up I used last Saturday. It was too big for Cyleina soap to clear right away. Although the soap did well (slowly doing its job), I want to try this tea tree oil just in case few bumps will be formed in the future. I hope this works! Has anyone tried their Tea tree line? I want to try their facial foam/wash and their moisturizer!! I have read that it is good in keeping the oil at bay. Let me know :)

Clinique Presents: The Doctor Is In! = Trinoma

From 2pm until 2am (I just got home), I was outside doing some fun stuffs! :D .. haha., I am saying this as my valid excuse for not posting my 2nd blog regarding my cagayan vacation awhile ago. tteeeehhhee! :p .. Anyway, I am much happier as I will be (I think?,.) busy tomorrow, doing some stuffs. AGAIN. :)) .. But most of all, because I will be visiting the Clinique Consultation in Trinoma tomorrow! This will be a great great chance for those residing near Trinoma, who are very curious and eager to try their products as there will be skin consultation to let them know the answers to their concerns, and who knows, you might be able to get a free sample to test its effectiveness! I had the chance to try their Clinique products because of Ms. Liz's Clinique Party2 (my blog entry for this is still in my drafts! lols.) and I also bought a mini travel kit that time to test it further! It has been like 3 weeks, and I am loving the result! .. My left cheek is better than before while my right cheek is starting to clear up. You may think that a span of 3 weeks is too long to see the result,  but there can be some factors why it occurred to me. I have been in Cagayan de Oro for 1 week and I am always under the sun, every single day, especially with the 3hours of rafting . This means that I always  lather huge amount of sunblock to protect my face, plus too much perspiration and the sticky-eecky feeling; these hindered me from using Clinique products religiously. But, I am still happy with the result! Hope you could try it for yourself. You have nothing to lose anyway! . For more info, just check the poster below. :D

Hot Seat Review: Neutrogena Wave Cleanser

I promised before to give a review of this product, so I better start now. :D ... uhhhhh. in a few minutes.. haha. :)

So today is my first day of classes here in De Lasalle University. :) I was able to make my own schedule to think that I was ssoopper sooper late .. :))

my sched every mon and wed is 8am to 9:30 and the following class starts at 2:40 pm. Then every tuesday and thursday, 8-:9:30 followed by 1pm class until 4:10. :D yeahp that's how I did my schedule. why? First of all, to have ample amount of time for the next subject in (which turns out to be busmath and actbas which I have heard are not that easy) case I have a test since I am just a transferee, I still need to do some adjustments. 2nd reason is that, I can also go straight to B's house to have some chitchat with them and have some bonding time outside. :D 3 hrs and 30 minutes to 5 hours of waiting is not a joke! haha..

Anyway,... lo and behold.. the Neutrogena Wave Cleanser, is it a Yey or a Nay?

When I saw this, I was thinking of buying one because I'm getting OC when it comes to my face. Knowing that it costs 575 php (not sure), I need to try it. I bought tit without knowing that the pads are actually the cleansers!! I just thought they were pads and I had to put some face wash on it.  One bad thing about this one, is the price of the pads. If you would like to continue using the device, you have to get more pads which costs 400php. I think it consists of 30 pads every box. For me, that's a NO NO. I would like to use a cleanser of my own choice. I was thinking of using cotton pads which can be bought in watsons or groceries, and putting my cleanser on it. But the cotton pad was too thin that I can feel the scratchy thing of the wave cleanser (where you attach the pad) but it's tolerable.

The product is water-resistant and it is 2AAs battery operated. Attaching a pad is a breeze. Wash your face with water, damp the pad with water, and voila, instant face massage while cleaning your face! When I started using the product, I was glad I bought it even though the only thing it does is to vibrate. It is still better than using your bare fingers/hands in washing as it prevents tugging and pulling of my skin which means lesser wrinkles in the future. And it gave a good finish and super clean slash neat face! But, it was too early for me to say it when I noticed my skin is getting flaky or dry (cheeks area). Maybe because of the cleanser from the pads? I had no idea what type of Neutrogena face wash they put in their product. I was worried of what will happen after using it again. Will this do better or worse? In the end, I stopped using it because I lost my refill pads, and I was thinking that maybe the cleanser it came with the tool is too harsh. I have oily skin on my forehead and chin and a little on my cheeks, but my cheeks are still too delicate. I hope, Clarisonic will be the solution to this problem.

For those who have super super oily skin, USING THIS POWER WAVE CLEANSER IS A MUST! You have to try it! :) .. For those who have the same situation like me, I suggest using them on your forehead, and chin (or those areas that produce so much oil) and try to avoid using them on your cheeks or any areas where there is less production of oil. This may be too harsh on your skin and irritation  may occur. You can also ask your dermatologist some opinion and advice regarding this one and if this will be fine with your skin. :)

Philosophy Purity & Cetaphil Daily Cleanser: which is better??

Happy New Year!!! :D insert Belated at the 1st part, HOHOHOHO.

I know I know, I'm too early to greet you with that! :)))

Let's not beat around the bush. I'm here to ask on your opinion about these 2 cleansers. Actually, I have 3 but the 2 are just the same in most of the aspects. As you all know, or.. some.. I bought a Clarisonic Pro as a gift for the 4 of us: my eldest sister who has dry and sensitive skin, 2nd sister who has oily and sensitive skin, my mom who is not getting any younger and has sensitive skin with fine lines, and me, who is having a hard time deciphering whether I have oily skin or a combination of oily and normal skin. I am also having some bumps on my lower jaw and near my hairline. I really really hate it.

Before my package arrives, I would like to prepare the cleanser I want to use. They are recommending to use a mild cleanser since the tool is strong already to penetrate the cleanser to my skin and it means I should not use something harsh to my skin and I think the Pond's with a black tube will be too harsh. After months of reading and watching some reviews, I have heard that it is best to pair it with Philosophy made Simple. I admit, that is too expensive for me! But, if I am sure this will work for me, I will buy it with my own hard earned money. But the problem is, each of us reacts differently with products, so I am not sure if it will do good for me or not.

Later on, I have heard Cetaphil. I have been using their gentle cleanser for all skin types and I think it's good but not great since it doesn't diminish my bumps on my jaw and doesn't keep the oil at bay. So I saw this daily facial cleanser FOR normal to oily skin and maybe this could be the answer.

However, I have read that if you use Clarisonic with the Cetaphil cleanser, it will make your skin prone to sensitivity. I don't know how but that's what is bothering me. I hope you could help me decide on which to purchase. Or else, I'll end up buying both! :))

Clarisonic is a little hand held device that uses the same sonic technology that is used in sonic toothbrushes, except it cleanses your skin. They have a few different versions, the Mia being the less expensive, slightly smaller version; then the classic, plus and pro version. The pro version can be sold by the skin care professionals only. The ebay store I had was from dermabella2009 that's why I was able to get this. Another reason why I bought this one because this set is in a very very low price (sale) and I will have additional 4 brushes which means each of us (2sister + mom) will have an individual brush already. So I don't need to worry about additional purchase for their brushes.  The other sites that I saw do not carry this kind of promo (they sell clarisonic classic/plus in 190$-210$ without any extra brush! 1 brush costs 25$ or  1125 pesos).The brushes need to be replaced in 3-4 months. By that time, I will ask my aunts in the States to buy those refills and the cleansers. :) No worries for me. :) Another thing by the way is that I used my mom's credit card for this since my credit card has a credit limit, so I will pay this one on the 3rd week of January, I still have time to save money....again! :D

This will be the last purchase I will get. (hope not to break this promise!). I also purchased Urban Decay Primer Potion PRO and Ardell lash grower, and Charm make brush pro. :D I'm still not finish in paying but I'm halfway there! :D

I have been observing my face which I think is getting a little bit oily than before or it was just the natural oil we are supposed to maintain in our face? idk. So when I heard this rice powder from a blogger as well, from Nadine, I decided to get it the next day at Trinoma. :)

• buildable color. can be used as face powder instead of using it as translucent powder
• CHEAP! for sa 325 php which I think can last long before you finish them. :) A little goes a long way

The Kicks

• you have to make sure that the container is in the right position when placing it in your bag or else expect some of the powder to spill when you open it
• its effects is not long-lasting. I think it is just the same as with any other ordinary face powders when it comes to its oil-control power. However I still like it! If you don't mind doing some touch-ups, this is still wonderful! :D
• some may not like this product because of the smell. (for those who wants their products unscented)

OVERALL.

I still like it.! ♥  The warm beige color is SO RIGHT for me! :D ., I like the natural finish even though I have a fair complexion with a hint of beige (whuut?).I just hope that the effect can last longer. I do touch ups every 2-3 hours though I don't mind doing it. But still, IF I MANAGE TO FIND A BETTER ONE, I will stop buying this.

Awesome Haul! :)

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry if I was not able to do the lip swatches awhile ago for NYX, because I am wide awake until now for 34 hours or 1 day and 10 hours. I only had a 2-hour nap while sitting and lying on the table while my friend was reviewing for her test tomorrow. Anyway, I went at UST to pay for the Good Moral Conduct form, and I'll be able to get them on Tuesday! >.< .. DLSUCET is on next friday! :(( .. Met with my friends and btw , I did a very beautiful FOTD! Too bad I was not able to take a picture because I am super super crazy right now. I want to share my latest haul and my latest addiction(scented candles and Mary Kay foundation)!
